While studying painting as a young adult she realized that taking the inspiration photos was her true passion, often surpassing the resulting paintings. This circuitous route to the craft shows in her work. Rather than taking photos, Samantha creates deliberate images. Her command of light and color give her photographs an ethereal and often cinematic feel.
